Blue Plaques in Old Gateshead
In 2015, Gateshead Council asked us to take over responsibility for erecting Blue Plaques in the 'old Gateshead' area.
Gateshead's Blue Plaques project links people and events of the past with current buildings and locations.
Joseph Stephenson Ridley was born 29th July 1845 in Gateshead, Co. Durham, the seventh child of Matthew Ridley and Frances Stephenson.
